Nestled in the beautiful, historic Northern Tablelands town of Tenterfield, Strauss Cottage is a lovingly restored 1886 terrace house, offering boutique luxury accommodation to couples wanting to experience the grandeur of another era.

When we discovered the cottage, she was broken and derelict. Over four years we painstakingly restored her, paying attention to all the historic and beautiful imperfections this grand old lady had accrued over her lifetime of 130years. We decorated her with love, with objects and furnishings from all over the world, and brought her back to life, to be celebrated and enjoyed by those who take pleasure and wonder from staying in a place steeped in history. Our home away from home, the cottage has subsequently been carefully curated with fine linens, sumptuous textures and interesting collections. The way we like to stay when we're getting away from the rat race.
